⚡️🇮🇹📰 The company LDMV Media of Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio aims to acquire Il Fatto Quotidiano, evaluating a public offer of purchase of over 7 million euros for the publishing company SEIF.
🔻In recent months LDMV Media has acquired 80% of Editoriale Nazionale, which controls Il Giorno, La Nazione, Il Resto del Carlino and QN – Quotidiano Nazionale, and also holds 30% of Il Giornale.
🔻The offer for Il Fatto Quotidiano would be subject to the examination of the company's accounts and to the achievement of at least 82.9% of the capital, with the goal of taking it off the Stock Exchange. The founding shareholders, including Marco Travaglio, Antonio Padellaro and Peter Gomez, have however declared that they do not want to sell their shares.
🔻The proposal comes after a series of investigations published by Il Fatto Quotidiano on Del Vecchio's business activities, to which the newspaper responded with an article titled «Il Fatto fa le pulci a Del Vecchio e lui prova a comprarsi il Fatto».
